Square Pictures was a CGI animation studio established in Honolulu, Hawaii by Square in 1997. It's first and only theatrical production was Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within released in 2001. After the box office bombing of The Spirits Within, Square Pictures only released one other work, the segment Final Flight of the Osiris for The Animatrix, before closing down and being absorbed into Square Visual Works on March 31st 2002.
